The Paralympians are all former Methodist Rehabilitation Center patients. The Jackson hospital's therapeutic recreation director will also be in the British capital, serving as team leader for the USA wheelchair fencing team.

Produced by Jim Albritton | An innovative form of therapy that uses mirrors to retrain the brain is helping a Georgia woman recover from an amputation after a near-fatal auto accident nearly claimed her life.
Methodist Rehabilitation Center in Jackson recently became one of only six centers in the Southeast -- and the only one in Mississippi -- to offer the innovative Armeo Spring therapy. The system, which pairs an assistive movement device with a virtual reality training program, can be used for patients who have suffered arm paralysis or weakness due to stroke, spinal cord and brain injuries and other neurological disorders.
