The Help | Audiences in Author and Director's Native Mississippi Love the Movie

Produced by Jim Albritton | Hundreds weathered Mississippi heat and humidity for the premiere of The Help, a movie based on Kathryn Stockett's best-selling book and directed by Tate Taylor. For the two Jackson, Mississippi natives and lifelong friends, it was a homecoming like few others—complete with red carpet, an adoring press corps and exited fans thrilled to be part of their success.

High-tech Therapy Lends Methodist Rehabilitation Center Patients Helping Hand 

Methodist Rehabilitation Center in Jackson recently became one of only six centers in the Southeast -- and the only one in Mississippi -- to offer the innovative Armeo Spring therapy. The system, which pairs an assistive movement device with a virtual reality training program, can be used for patients who have suffered arm paralysis or weakness due to stroke, spinal cord and brain injuries and other neurological disorders.

Produced by Jim Albritton | Months of planning and days of work have transformed the Fondren neighborhood in Jackson, Mississippi back to the 1960s for the filming of the movie version of Jackson native Kathryn Stockett's novel, The Help. As area residents looked on, construction and utility crews worked side-by-side the film's production crew to recreate the look and feel of that era.
