After a cross-country farewell flight in October 2012, the Space Shuttle Endeavour is at its new home, the California Science Center in Los Angeles. The orbiter is housed in a temporary pavilion until its new exhibit space is built nearby. Guests who come to see Endeavour will view images and artifacts that relate the shuttle program to California, where the orbiters were built. See our story about Endeavour's final flyover of the Stennis Space Center near Bay St. Louis, Mississippi where its engines were tested at http://youtu.be/gN5xXqNs4w0.
Produced by Jim Albritton | Hundreds of visitors and employees turned out at the John C. Stennis Space Center to bid farewell to the Space Shuttle Endeavour as it passed 1,500 feet overhead, atop a modified 747, headed for its new home at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. This final flight, which marks the end of NASA's shuttle program, also highlights the crucial role Stennis has held for more than 30 years.
