Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 4:17PM The Ross Barnett Reservoir hosts the Outdoor Expo presented by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, April 29 and 30, at Old Trace Park in Ridgeland. The free two-day event, held along side the BassMaster Elite Series pro bass fishing tournament is kid friendly, featuring an archery range, a casting competition, fishing demonstrations, wildlife exhibits and great entertainment, plus arts, crafts and food. Spend the day by the water and the night shopping and dining in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
Monday, April 3, 2017 at 2:35AM The Sunset Concert Series at the Ross Barnett Reservoir's Lake Shore Park in Brandon, Mississippi is a tradition in the making. Jay Herrington and Seth Thomas kicked-off the concert series on March 23, 2017. The concerts continue every other Thursday through June 1. Admission is $5 per vehicle or $1 per walk-in. The Sunset Concert Series is sponsored by Crawfish King.

Monday, June 4, 2012 at 9:18AM Produced by Jim Albritton | The Jackson Yacht Club's annual "Blessing of the Fleet" at the Ross Barnett Reservoir in central Mississippi brought out boats of all sorts, including power, sail and paddle boats. Rev. Kyle Seage from St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Jackson bestowed blessing on boats and their crews and celebrity judges Melanie Christopher, Bobby Cleveland and Malcolm White judge decorated boats as they floated by the host sailboat owned by Will and Lisa Manuel.
